Yesterday in Second Life there was:

  • 10,869 new signups bringing the total to 11,977,596 signups.
  • A peak concurrency of 57,019 at 1:55PM, and a minimum concurrency of 31,039 at 11:55PM. Median concurrency for the day was 41,927.
  • The Grid Stability Index for the day was 1.34 (lower is better).
  • Median signup rates remain relatively steady but have slipped just a little. The 12 millionth signup is due roughly on the Saturday the 19th.
  • Linden Lab released key metrics for the month of December, bringing the figures current to the end of 2007.
  • The short-notice rolling restart took place, although there wasn't enough time allocated in the maintenance window to sort everything out by the 8PM estimate.
  • The beta grid was updated with a new Havok4 test build, a day earlier than expected.
