Yesterday in Second Life there was:
- 13,766 new signups bringing the total to 12,413,665 signups.
- A peak concurrency of 56,952 at 2:25PM, and a minimum concurrency of 30,549 at 1:00AM. Median concurrency for the day was 45,276.
- The Grid Stability Index for the day was 2.49 (lower is better).
- A generally lousy day for the whole operation, it seems. We started with assorted login problems which started late at night and were finally resolved by 5PM, and added problems with the voice system, technical problems affecting the Support Portal, problems with the the rails framework that provides such things as last-name selection during registration and the classifieds.
- The latest Leopard release for Macs (10.5.2) fixes many issues with Second Life on the MacBookPro (though you may have to run the update twice).
- A new Windlight First Look viewer was released – 1.19.0(79674).
- Linden Lab updated the System Requirements for the first time that we can recall.
