New Second Life release candidate viewer: 1.19.0(RC3)

Linden Lab has released a new 1.19.0 release candidate viewer, 1.19.0(RC3), fourth in the 1.19.0 series (release candidates start counting from zero, so this is RC3, rather than RC2).

This release looks to be getting close to final, fixing only a handful of items. Best guess would be that this version will become the official viewer some time next week, unless some showstopper bug is reported.

Here are the basic changes and fixes for the current release candidate:

Fixes:

  • Land for sale icon in menubar overlaps push object restriction icon

  • Upload Animation window: Button missing in Stopped window state

  • Client crashes when viewing the proposals tab in group information

  • My Landmarks dropdown list adds additional entries every time the world map is opened

  • Groups > Proposals > Past Vote text gets chomped

  • Defaulted buttons in floater dialogs remain highlighted when not in focus

  • VWR-4556: 1.19.0: Ban lines around limited-access parcels are no longer visible

  • VWR-3410: Too many typing sounds when chatting in Japanese

Release candidate viewers access your live account on the main Second Life grid (Agni). Potentially they may cause hair-loss in pets, and should be always be kept out of reach of children. The downloads are served by Amazon's S3 service and we use and recommend the use of a download manager to keep your download times to a minimum.

You can download this viewer from the usual place (the Second Life website is running a little slow today, but that won't affect the basic download speed from S3). The download for Windows is 34MB, Mac OSX is 70MB, and Linux is 53MB.
