Speaker lineup for 11th Electronic Gaming Summit announced

Judging by the speaker lineup, there's going to be an awful lot of yapping going on during this year's Electronic Gaming Summit. 1UP Networks has revealed its list of gum flappers for the 11th annual event, with the proceedings headlined by one Dr. Oren Harari, who we're told is the author of "Break from the Pack: How to Compete in a Copycat Economy" and not, in fact, a cherished Star Trek character. She's joined by other "key business players," including:

  • Cammie Dunaway — Executive VP of Sales and Marketing for Nintendo
  • Jeff "Jeff Bell" Bell — Corporate vice president of global marketing, Interactive
    Entertainment Business for Microsoft
  • Peter Moore — President of EA Sports
  • Michael Pachter — Managing Director, Research for Wedbush Morgan Securities
  • Jason Holtman — Director of Business Development for Valve
  • Beth Simone-Noveck — Professor of Law, Director for Institute for Information Law and Policy, Democracy Design Workshop
  • Tanya Giles — Senior VP, Research and Planning for MTV Networks

A panel of gaming journalists will also be in talkative attendance, with N'Gai Croal, Daniel Sieberg, Brian Crecente and Geoff Keighly making their voices heard. The summit, which provides a "platform for leading videogame industry influencers and top-level executives to learn, network, and exchange ideas about the gaming culture and its future," is set to take place in Napa, California from May 19th to May 21st.
