US: Cut Copy, Lights & Music – Single of the Week
Each week we find a track from an artist or a band we've been enjoying and bring it to you, for free, as our Single of the Week. Cut Copy blew us away at South by Southwest. Their new album, In Ghost Colours is an exercise in drawing parallels between favourites old and new and trying to find a meeting point in between – from the vocodered robo-pop of French house to prog's soaring harmonies to the texture of shoegaze, "Lights and Music" lands at some sort of trans-galaxial intersection between these disparate planets.
US: Señor Flavio, Malito – Canción de la Semana
Each week, we find a track from an artist or a band who's on the cusp of success and bring it to you, for free, as our Canción de la Semana. As the bassist for Los Fabulosos Cadillacs, Señor Flavio provided the bottom end to the group's funky mash-up of ska, rock, hip-hop, and Argentinean grooves. For this solo cut, he keeps the genre definitions at arm's length – working in an uptempo skank while mixing up lightning-quick smooth lyrics against some gruff dancehall-like toasting.

Tom Cavanagh stars as Washington State Sheriff Dave Reichert, who used guile, wits, and perseverance to hunt the Green River Killer, bringing an end to the largest unsolved serial killer case in the country and, in doing so, helping provide much needed closure to the victims' families.

Canada: Los Campesinos!, Death to Los Campesinos! – Single of the Week
How many times do we have to tell you how much we love Los Campesinos? These Welsh uber-poppers now have their first full-length out on Arts & Crafts and we'd like to point your attention in the direction of the opening song, "Death to the Campesinos." It's a ragged, glorious pop tune that you can shout from any rafters, rooftops, or any place that is higher up than another. Smart, strange lyrics and sugary melodies, sing-a-along choruses, and very noisy guitars – it's a good time.
Nederland: Alela Diane, The Rifle – Single Van de Week
Alela Diane komt uit Nevada City, een plaats in een bos in Noord-Californië waar ook harpiste Joanna Newsom woont. En het was inderdaad Newsom die Diane aanspoorde op te treden. Dit nummer van Diane's debuut The Pirate's Gospel komt dichter in de buurt van folk dan Newsom's surrealistische, ingewikkelde poëzie, maar ze hebben beide dat eigenaardige gevoel van sprookjes. Het is alleen Diane en haar gitaar, bijgestaan door griezelig klinkende vrouwen- en mannenstemmen – maar er is een ruw en plattelandsachtige eerlijkheid aan dit spooknummer dat wat extra gewicht in de schaal gooit.
UK: Petter & The Pix, Nevermind – Single of the Week
Stockholm's Petter and the Pix are a curious blend of jangling guitar pop with touches of electronics throughout most of their new album Easily tricked. However, "Nevermind" is a more interesting concoction of symphonic sweep around a reggae-based rhythm track that feels like it's been dipped in molasses. Singer and lyricist Petter Winnberg sings positive affirmations to society while a mixture of chimes and bird whistles float in the background. It's like a mixture of Massive Attack, Peter Bjorn and John and Ziggy Marley.
France: Hercules and Love Affair,
