- 11,593 new signups bringing the total to 13,094,300 signups.
- A peak concurrency of 60,138 at 2:20PM, and a minimum concurrency of 31,488 at 12:35PM. Median concurrency for the day was 45,870.
- The Grid Stability Index for the day was 1.87 (lower is better).
- Another major grid failure today, after hours of asset and transaction issues that commenced around 4AM, much of which apparently went unmarked until it escalated into a large-scale collapse.
- Linden Lab also had telephone failures through the day.
- Havok 4 has rolled out fully onto the main grid. Some maintenance updates and bug-fixes are promised for next week.
- We have some pictorials of Spring events (or Autumn events, depending on which side of the equator you are on) in Second Life and elsewhere.

- Vivox is extending their voice services beyond Second Life and into other virtual world platforms.

- Linden Lab finally filled the Communications Manager role that they've been trying to fill for a year, and snuck the new hire in quietly on Monday.
- Philip Linden and others testified before a Congressional subcommittee on Tuesday morning. If you've seen one such hearing, you've more or less seen them all — they're often quite formulaic. Nonetheless you can watch the video of the session (Windows media), and a few interesting things did get said during the course of things.
