Midway shuffles execs, CEO confident about long term future
Midway announced that two executives have been promoted at the "troubled" publisher. Miguel Iribarren is now senior VP of publishing, while Martin Spiess is the executive VP of international business. Midway sure could use an executive VP in the tourniquet department to help stop the hemorrhaging of cash at the company.
Interim CEO Matt Booty, who inherited the position following the resignation of CEO David Zucker, confidently stated he believes these new executives, along with the experienced management team, will help Midway "regain its industry leadership and become a top tier, profitable company in the coming years." Good thing he said years, because given Midway's current docket of games, things aren't going to get pretty any time soon.
