Around Azeroth: Clash of the product placements

I know that WoW is an enormously successful video game with many spin-off products. But these commercial tie-ins may have gone too far. Why else would this shot from the WOTLK battleground Strand of the Ancients feature a night elf mohawk assaulting a Toyota Tacoma? (That night elf really does have a purple mohawk. Check the big version if you don't believe me.) Sure, you say it's a total coincidence. That's what they want you to believe. When that Recipe: Quarter Pounder With Cheese drops for you in the Nexus, don't come crying to me!
