Massively's guide to the LotRO vanity pets: Friend of the Wild

Now that your Lore-master is level 24 and has beaten Book 2, you can then talk to any Lore-master trainer to receive the quest A Friend of the Wild. With this quest, you'll be told to talk to Radagast the Brown, who resides in the Eglain camp just inside Agamaur (northeast of Ost Guruth). He tells you a little story about saving a little bunny at the outer gates of Garth Agarwen. This gives you a new quest called Friend of Hares. Now, if you've ever ventured into this area before, you may realize that you may need to be slightly higher than level 24 to get the job done. We recommend 36 or 37 at least, if you can wait that long!

In the quest description, it's advised to follow along the right wall from the entrance to Garth Agarwen, but there's a more direct route straight through the Eglain encampment, and then northward until you reach the back wall of Agamaur. This is where the hare's den is hidden at the end of a small alcove. You then use the scroll that Radagast gave you and escort the hare out of the area and back to Radagast. Be aware, this is a timed mission and you have five minutes to get him back!
