Q: Have you heard anything about No Gravity lately? I heard August for Europe. Any news for a U.S. release? On his website its clear that he plans a release date for the United states eventually.
A: Yes, according to the developer's site, the release is planned for "Summer 2008," which translates to an August release, pending some sort of delay. There's currently no date set for the United States.
Q: Could you please find out anything further about the news (from Dec 06!) that the Ian Jackson and Steve Livingstone 'Fighting Fantasy' books were going to be developed as a portable game title on the PSP and Nintendo? There has been a deathly silence surrounding this since 2006 and it would be great to know if a Fighting Fantasy game is still being considered for development, or if it has been consigned to the scrap heap...
A: Unfortunately, we're going to assume the scrap heap on this one. There hasn't been a single announcement (or even rumor) since December 2006; Fighting Fantasy has been all but officially cancelled. We'll let you know if someone digs it up, but I wouldn't bet on it.
Q: Any word on the PSP-3000 working with 2000 video-out cables? Specifically, component.
A: Yes, they should work on the PSP-3000. In addition, composite cable users will be able to run games on non-HDTVs.
Q: If my source video is PAL and I make a video to play on a PSP bought in the USA, will it run?
A: Yes. It must meet PSP specifications for resolution: 320x240, 480x270, 720x480 are the common resolutions PSP can support. Please make sure your converter supports these formats.
Q: Any news on the Super Stardust release date?
A: We'll see Super Stardust Portable sometime in 2009, with the release date currently TBA.
Q: It would be great if you could do a series on "What PS3 and PSP can do together". I bought a PS3 thinking it would extend capabilities to my PSP, and have found it rather limited as far as the interaction between the two. There's got to be tricks that I missing.
A: There's some great information over at Playstation.com, regarding the different interfacing options between PSP and PS3. Most of the notable features involve Remote Play, including DLNA support, game sharing, and viewing various forms of media from your hard drive, on our PSP. We'll try and get a "Remote Play 101" up soon!
