Guild Wars companions: The Fire Imp
The Fire Imp introduces some unique game mechanics to Guild Wars. It is summoned by the Igneous Summoning Stone which is a bonus item only available to those players who have previously purchased the following items from the in-game store or PlayNC.com: the original Guild Wars, Factions, Nightfall, Eye of the North, Game of the Year Edition (North America), or the One Million Edition (Europe). You can only use this summoning stone once per hour, at which time your Fire Imp companion will disappear. Yet you can re-summon the Fire Imp at this time, allowing an almost constant up-time. Since it is considered a leveling companion, it can only be used by those characters under level 20. To grant your character the stone, simply type /bonus in the chat window.
This little fella is available in pre-searing Ascalon as well, which certainly makes for an enhanced experience through this beginner area. While his level matches the character's, he can still be considered a formidable ally, especially in those areas where normal henchman or heroes aren't available. Will he help you with the esteemed Legendary Defender of Ascalon title? Probably not, but there's no denying his usefulness towards the first rank of the Survivor title. While this may not be game-breaking, it has still stirred the forums up a bit.%Gallery-31436%
