Jordan Mechner's Prince of Persia: The Graphic Novel is available now in book stores, and possibly at your local comic book provider. The book was written by A.B. Sina and illustrated by LeUyen Pham and her husband, Alex Puvilland. The book has two parallel storylines featuring different princes, one living in the 9th centure and the other in the 14th.

The 190-page graphic novel costs $17 and apparently explores "the legend of the prince," but has no direct relationship to any of the video game protagonists. Mechner explains the book is far more philosophical and explores whether the prince is a "human or a universal archetype." We don't know what that means, but we also failed philosophy in college. Pages from the book can be viewed in the gallery below.
