Massively in Moria: Book 1, Chapters 1-5

Chapter 1
Eregion is located just south of the Trollshaws, and this is where your journey will begin. When you arrive in southeastern Eregion, you'll meet up with a Dwarf named Rathwald, who will give you the Book 1, Chapter 1 quest. He's just to the east of the small Elven encampment named Echad Dunann. Rathwald will ask for your assistance in helping Bosi and Brogur, who have been assigned as the leaders of the expedition into the mines. He'll ask you to walk through the archway to his left and talk to Tulk, who is waiting for you on the other side.

Chapter 2
Tulk explains to you that there is an unseen power that has been watching over the Dwarves as they have worked at the Hollin Gate. This power has drained the river of water and caused some frightening occurances lately. Especially worrisome to him are the black birds flying around the area in great numbers, bothering the Dwarves as they work. He asks you to bring him four crebain talons in a meager attempt to thin their numbers a bit.

Chapter 3
After you bring the talons back to Tulk, he'll ask you to take a his report of the situation to Bosi. Simply follow the rocky path east and you'll see Bosi near some wagons in the road.

Chapter 4
Once you meet up with Bosi, he'll tell you about how hard the work has been for his crew, and ask that you bring them some food. This is basically a way for you to get familiar with the path from the wagons to Hollin Gate itself, as you'll be running that route several times throughout the entire book. After you bring lunch to seven Dwarven workers, you'll meet a Dwarf named Warr in front of the Hollin Gate. He'll tell you that his workers have had some problems with the rubble in front of the gate, and they keep breaking their pickaxes. Since they didn't prepare for this, they'll need to you return to Bosi and let him know that they need more pickaxes as soon as possible.

Chapter 5
Bosi will tell you that he sent his son to find sharpened stones for their pickaxes a while ago, yet he has not returned. You'll need to go find his son, Bori, and help him find the appropriate stones for the task. He's located at the foot of the stairs directly to your east. Plus, Bosi mentions that there are branches in the area that could server as suitable handles to make new pickaxes for the workers. The stones are located in the dry river bed to the south of the road, and the thick branches are located along the path you took to the Dwarven workers. Take note that these branches are hidden beneath trees, and can sometimes be difficult to spot. In the beta, there were no floating names above these branches unless you clicked on them. They may fix that before release, but we must admit, it was fun actually looking for the branches themselves, and not just big white letters.
