FanPoll'08: Action Adventure Game of the Year / Driving Game of the Year

Overwhelmingly, Grand Theft Auto IV was decided as this year's Best Action/Adventure game of the year by our readers. Beating out Prince of Persia by a staggering 3,778 votes, GTAIV came out on top. It may not be on the top of everyone's current play list but when it released it was the game to own.

The realistic, gritty world of Liberty City is yours for the taking as Niko Belic, a former enforcer who left his homeland to start a new life. Little does Niko know, the harsh reality he left behind lingers throughout all walks of life.

Burnout Paradise came out on top with another big win. While this win may not surprise most fans, it's important to remember that Burnout Paradise was released in January 2008. We're still talking about the game to this day and thanks to Criterion Games, we'll be talking about it well into 2009.

Race the streets of Paradise City in multiple events both online and off. Survive on four wheels (or two-wheels on bikes) for as long as possible before succumbing to beautifully crafted crashes, worthy of a Hollywood movie.
