Know Your LotRO Lore: Final thoughts on the Elves

Despite our best intentions, this article doesn't even begin to scratch the surface on the complexity and level of detail that Tolkien put into his Elves. To truly get a sense of how much he loved this race, one only need reference both The Silmarillion and The History of Middle-earth. In addition to the detailed genealogy and naming conventions he created for the Elves, there were also several complete languages conceived. These languages were often credited for being created before the stories themselves.

In Lord of the Rings Online, the Elves inhabit a vast area literally from one side of the current map to the other. From their homeland in the area of Duillond to the gardens of Lothlórien, the Elves are still mighty during the time in which the game takes place. The future of LotRO should see even more of the Elves as we will eventually venture into the deep forests of Rhovanian.
