Know Your LotRO Lore: Men in the game

When designing the race of Man in LotRO, Turbine made sure to give enough incentive for players to create a Man character, in the midst of the excitement associated with an Elf, Hobbit or Dwarf. Men can be any class except Rune-keeper, and are comprised of four possible nationalities: Bree-land, Dale-lands, Gondor and Rohan. One class, the Captain, can only be created as a Man.

We've already mentioned the Gift of Man passive skill and how important it is to the understanding of this race, but there are other passive skills associated with choosing this race. "Diminishing of Mankind" gives you decreased Will, "Easily Inspired" gives increased Morale restoration and "Strong Men" improves the Strength attribute automatically.

As with the Dwarves, there are many sects of evil Men in LotRO. You will meet Men who will readily befriend you, be cautious of your intentions and just downright hate you. As the Fellowship (and the game) move further eastward towards Mordor, we will most-likely encounter more of the truly great lands of Men, including Rohan, Dale and of course, Gondor.
