WRUP: A very merry unbirthday edition
Today isn't, in fact, the birthday of anyone on the Massively staff. But being as our own Brendan Drain is belatedly celebrating his birthday this weekend with some EverQuest 2 time, it seems as good a time as any to celebrate everyone's unbirthday with virtual cake and candles. But as we're closest to Brendan's birthday, this (un)birthday cake is in his honor.
Brendan Drain: I'll be belatedly celebrating my birthday from Jan 22nd so not much time to play. I'll be playing EQ2 all today with a friend where we'll try out Everfrost zone and tomorrow if I have time maybe try to capture some tactical sites from the Caldari Militia in EVE with my corp.
Above and below are what what your Massively writers are up to this weekend, but tell us, what are you playing?
Colin Brennan: And I'm still working on figuring out what I'm going to be playing this weekend. It's a hard choice. I guess I'll be roleplaying a few social engagements in World of Warcraft, and then some leveling on my guardian in Lord of the Rings Online.
Craig Withers: I'll be continuing to gear up my Warrior for my guild's second visit to Naxxramas. I missed the first visit myself, but I've been reliably informed that it did not end well for us at all. Our next try should be rather more successful.
Dan O'Halloran: Will be making the push to 450 on mining while finishing the Dragonblight quests for the Achievement and slogging through 79 on my Druid on the way to sweet, sweet 80. Oh, and more Lunar Festival Elder stalking.
James Egan: When work focuses on MMOs, sometimes it's great to step away from them and do something different. I love Left 4 Dead and its co-op gameplay, especially since I'm a huge fan of 28 Days Later and other zombie movies. The game just never gets old for me. [Editor's note: Would a zombie MMO be a happy medium?]
Krystalle Voecks: I'll be heading back into Azeroth for some pretty determined instance grinding. Need to finish leveling to 80 in WoW quickly as my guild needs me to step back into the Raid Lemur (read: raid leader) rotation again. I just hope my cat-herding skills are up to snuff.
Kyle Horner: I'll be full-screening images of Champions Online and making mock mouse/keyboard movements to pretend like I'm playing it. Don't judge me.
Michael Zenke: I'm 31 in LotRO, and planning to hit at least 32 or 33 by weekend's end. I'm an Expert Metalsmith as of this week, and that opens up a whole new range of most excellent recipes to hammer out at the forge, to boot.
Tateru Nino: Heatwave keeps knocking out our network and major electrical load-shedding is happening. We're spending our time betting on how long we have either.
William Dobson: I'm currently visiting relatives out in the country, and don't have access to the internet very often. Turns out this MMO thing doesn't really work without the 'net! As a result, I'll be playing a bit of Chrono Trigger DS in between family engagements.
