Runes of Magic expands into Russia with open beta

We're always happy to hear about a game expanding into a new territory, as it's a good indicator of a title's strength. Russian gamers can now participate in the open beta for the free-to-play fantasy MMO Runes of Magic, and that's also a very good thing. We're sure they're already dual classing to to their heart's content.

As with the English and German betas, characters won't be wiped after the open beta ends — something that we're happy to see continuing with Runes of Magic. Out hats off to Frogster for that call, too.

So what's next for Runes of Magic? We're sure they'll continue to expand their user base as the months go by, but by the measure of their expansion it wouldn't be too surprising for a different kind of expansion in the future. That is to say, we're sure some interesting content expansions are somewhere down the line.
