Choose my Adventure: Becoming Ascended

Join me as I brave my way through lands unknown in an adventure dictated entirely by you, the Massively readers! Vote for everything from game played to character creation to ultimate goal and watch it unfold in a series of journals and galleries here on the site. Then, as the ultimate goal is reached, we'll do it all over again in a new game!

Last week, you voted to keep our notorious Necro in the Crystal Desert of Guild Wars and work on her Ascension. Not only has she complied with your demands, but she's done it in style!

This week she aims to leave the arid desert and continue her journey through the Southern Shiverpeaks, and eventually, onto the Ring of Fire Islands. With three weeks left in her journey through Guild Wars, we can't help but feel a bit sad that our first Choose my Adventure hero will retire soon to that big persistent world in the sky. But not before we get her through the remaining missions and bonuses of Guild Wars! Follow along after the jump below for more on our travels, as well as this week's poll.

The Crystal Desert is full of all kinds of new and exciting creatures, in addition to a new take on some they've already encountered. Moira Zonk is incredibly curious about these new creatures as she makes her way through the scorching heat of the desert. Luckily, her time there is almost at a close and she may not be complaining about the heat as much once she's back in those treacherous Shiverpeak Mountains.

So where should she go next? Despite the fact that Guild Wars is a linear game (in the storyline), there are still plenty of options left to vote on. So check out Moira's options below and vote on where you'd like her to venture next.

- Go straight for the Ring of Fire Islands. This would require me to finish the Southern Shiverpeak missions and get to Ember Light Camp in the Ring of Fire Islands
- Unlock all Southern Shiverpeak cities and outposts. This would require me to open 10 cities in all, most of which are not connected to the storyline
- Cap a Necro or Monk Elite skill. This would involve killing a Necromancer or Monk boss somewhere in the Southern Shiverpeaks and capturing their Elite Skill from them. The capped skill would be chosen by me.%Poll-31647%

Be sure to follow along in the in-character gallery below to hear Moira's own accounts of her travels. The gallery is large and contains her entire adventure, but this week's fun starts here. Warning! There are storyline spoilers throughout her journal.%Gallery-64234%
