WRUP: Real life? What real life?

It's Saturday once again which means we all have time to dive into our favorite virtual fantasy (or other) worlds. But with so many options to chose from, who knows what the team will be playing week to week. So what's the Massively team playing? And what are you playing? To find out, read on!

  • Brendan Drain (@nyphur): I'm contemplating giving Age of Conan a re-try with this free two week offer but it will take a long time to update the client, so I won't be playing it this weekend. Unrelatedly, I've been trying to shake a touch of the blues by playing shedloads of Team Fortress 2 and having some oldschool Master of Orion II action. In EVE Online, we've hit on the idea of harvesting fulleride gas rapidly by intentionally collapsing our wormholes once the systems they lead to have been stripped of all gas. Since the income from gas mining can reach over 50m/hour per person, I think this is definitely one of our better ideas.
  • Brooke Pilley: RL seems to have taken over all my gaming time this summer. Hopefully, we'll be finishing up our bathroom reno and then giving the entire house a thorough cleaning to remove all the drywall compound dust this weekend. Oh, and I also have another baseball tournament!
  • Colin Brennan (@sera_brennan): Team Fortress 2. Final Fantasy XI. Grocery Shopping. Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game. Video Games Live with the Pittsburgh Symphony. Dig it.
  • James Egan (@jamesegan): I'll be spending some time with my new Ishtar heavy assault ship in EVE. I'm absolutely loving it. I've pretty much maxed out all of the relevant skills, or close to it, and am playing around with some different setups. Also heading out to a semi-regular Halo 3 gathering with friends at some point this weekend.
  • Kyle Horner (@Kylehorner): I'll be rotating between LotRO (boosted XP!), Age of Conan (two weeks free), and Final Fantasy XI (Subjob, weeee!) this weekend.
  • Lemuel Pew (@lemmo): I finally downloaded Zenonia for my iPhone, which promises to be an RPG reminiscent of the old 16bit era, so I'll definitely give that a spin. Also, it seems that old friends are gravitating towards City of Heroes, so I might hop in to join them and act as a bit of a tour guide for the new content. Otherwise, just more Free Realms.
  • Lesley Smith (@lesleysmith): I'm going to resist the lure of buying a new camera (there's a Canon EOS1000D with my name on it come pay day) this weekend and instead do some work on my Peggle addiction. I might even turn on my PS3 and Xbox for a bit or go out and see a movie.
  • Shawn Schuster (@SSchuster): I'm jumping back into Age of Conan with the new free trial period, aiming to stick with it a bit longer this time. I'll also be progressing Moira Zonk through Guild Wars for her Choose my Adventure duties.
  • Tateru Nino (@taterunino): You know, specifying what I'm intending to do each week seems to be a guarantee that something will interfere with me actually doing it. Nevertheless, City of Heroes and Second Life are on the cards. Wish me luck!
  • William Dobson: With my assignments finished (for now) I might try Runes of Magic this weekend. On the consoles, I will definitely log some time with inFamous and maybe do another run through Resident Evil 5.
