Choose my Adventure: Return to the Shiverpeaks
Join me as I brave my way through lands unknown in an adventure dictated entirely by you, the Massively readers! Vote for everything from game played to character creation to ultimate goal and watch it unfold in a series of journals and galleries here on the site. Then, as the ultimate goal is reached, we'll do it all over again in a new game!
Last time on Choose my Adventure: Guild Wars, our heroine Moira Zonk became ascended and finally conquered her Doppelganger. The road is getting more difficult for her, but her newly-maxed level and the recent addition of two new Elite skills to her bar are helping to cushion the blow.
This week, you voted for her to simply capture an Elite skill in the Southern Shiverpeaks before moving on through the final missions in the game. Now that she's done that, we have two more weeks with Guild Wars and it's time for you to vote on her next moves. Should she go for the gold and finish up her ultimate goal of completing all missions and bonuses, or should she enjoy her second-to-last week doing something fun? You decide!
During last week's adventure, Moria was able to cap not one, but two Elite skills from bosses in the Southern Shiverpeaks. First, she captured Signet of Judgment from Frostbite, and then she turned right around and captured Spiteful Spirit from Nighh SpineChill in the same area of Talus Chute.
There are essentially two main areas left until the "end game" of Guild Wars' storyline: The Southern Shiverpeaks and the Ring of Fire Islands. With our character being only six missions and bonuses away from the end, we have a few options:
- Make it to the Ring of Fire Islands. This would involve completing the three Southern Shiverpeak missions and arriving at the Ember Light Camp to face the great islands of volcano.
- Seek out and kill a certain boss anywhere in Tyria. This would involve killing any boss that the majority of you decide upon in the comments. If no single boss gets 2 or more votes, I'll pick a good one. This would be especially handy if there's a certain boss you'd like to see killed, but haven't been able to find him or her.
- Finish up the main goal. Some reader feedback indicates it's time to move on to another game already. If you feel like we should wrap-up Guild Wars a week early, let us know!%Poll-31872%
