One Shots: Just a little bit further

Much like any long and dogged day, there are times you just have to reach out and go for something to recharge your batteries. Alternately, if you're caught in a beautiful but largely barren landscape, a cool drink of water is right up there in terms of awesome. Today's One Shots gives us a look at some of that cool water snapped during a bit of gaming downtime – two great tastes in one! This was sent to us by Emrin, a Dark Elf Mystic from the Crushbone server in EverQuest II. He tells us his tale:

The endlessly shifting sands and the pounding heat of the sun drain my will to go any further. My last drink of water was days ago after the run in with the nomads. At first I thought they were being merciful letting me go, but it would [have] been far kinder to finish me off there and then instead of leaving me to succumb to thirst. Dragging myself over another dune I see the oasis that can save my life. Its guardians see me first. Thankfully, I black out.
