WRUP: Joystiq's big PAX East Saturday plans edition
This is a time-sensitive reminder that Joystiq will be hosting a Blueberry Muffin Tops breakfast at PAX East, which will have many of your favorite 'stiq editors in attendance. Normally, we wouldn't mention this until we're closer to the event date of Saturday, March 27, but with the current state of ticket sales for the convention, we'd like to remind anyone who'd really like to attend that getting a Saturday ticket is essential. Also, the Joystiq Podcast will record live at the show that evening and, frankly, who knows what else we'll plan between now and then. So, yeah, Saturday is kinda big.
What's everyone playing this weekend?
Alexander Sliwinski (@XanderSliwinski): On my renegade playthrough of Mass Effect 2 on insanity. Pretty surprised that I'm holding my own. It gets rough at spots, but otherwise doing well. Also need to get back into Bayonetta, which is gloriously campy.
Andrew Yoon (@scxzor): ...
Ben Gilbert (@BigBossBgilbert): Apparently it's going to snow like, 20 feet or something here, so I'm gonna play the "make delicious beef stew and finish Mass Effects" game. Yes, plural. Almost done with the first, got the second waiting on my coffee table.
Christopher Grant (@ChrisGrant): With Dragon Age Origins safely out of the way, poor decisions be damned (Alistair, come back!) I've moved onto that other BioWare RPG all the kids are crazy about it. With a blizzard on the way, it's a cozy Mass Effect 2 weekend for me.
David Hinkle (@DaveHinkle): I've got this Darksiders game that Justin sent me and I'll probably make more time for this surprisingly fun AvP demo.
Griffin McElroy (@griffinmcelroy): I'll be playing a ton of MAG with my brother in arms and also life, Justin. After a bit of soul searching, we ended up in SVER, and are currently taking applications for our clan, the Joystiq Biomass.
James Ransom-Wiley: So I hath slain the purple "high" dragon, and still it goes on...
JC Fletcher (@jcfletcher): I play No More Heroes 2 now. That is what I do.
Justin McElroy (@JustinMcElroy): Griffin and I will hopefully be playing more MAG. (FOR SVER. FOREVER.) And Chris said he's sending me Heavy Rain. Will he actually do that? I have no idea.
Kevin Kelly (@gadgetguy): Don't shoot me for it, but I'm growing slightly bored of Mass Effect 2 already, so I'm going to try some older games that I never finished. Not sure what yet, but Borderlands and Demon's Souls are on the top of the pile.
Ludwig Kietzmann (@LudwigK): I'll probably go into shock if I turn off the BioWare tap at this point. (Context: Since October, I've played Dragon Age: Origins, Jade Empire, Mass Effect again and Mass Effect 2) I'll have to Return to Ostagar for a temporary treatment.
Mike Schramm (@MikeSchramm): In a moment of weakness (or genius), I bought Mirror's Edge from Newegg for $10 earlier this week, so I'll be playing that. Otherwise, I have games to finish: Muramasa, Might and Magic: Clash of Heroes, and Dragon Age: Origins.
Randy Nelson (@DangerPenguin) I've joined up with SVER in MAG so I can frolic with the clan McElroy and 253 total strangers. So, basically, it's like going to the mall. Other than that, playing through Heavy Rain again and hoping to squeeze in some quality time with Commander Leela Shepard.
Richard Mitchell (@SenseiRAM): I've been playing this sweet sci-fi RPG called Mass Effect. It's got great writing and some nifty combat. I'm not too far into it yet, but I'm already hoping that this BioWare company will make a sequel.
Xav de Matos (@Xav): I'm tactically completing SOCOM: Fireteam Bravo 3 and Bad Company 2 multiplayer all weekend long.
Justin Glow (@justinglow): (Playing Mass Effect 4)
