Use the iPad in landscape orientation with the keyboard dock

Using a Bluetooth keyboard with an iPad is terrifically convenient, yet some users dislike that the iPad must be in portrait orientation while docked. Here's how to get around it.

Joe, the self-proclaimed "World's most popular blogging anesthesiologist" used a dock extender cable, the keyboard dock and Apple's iPad case to solve the problem. With the cable attached and tucked neatly through the case, Joe noticed that the case itself slips securely over the back of the dock. Just fold the front back and you'll be able to secure it. He could even adjust to the perfect viewing angle.

Note that the stand-alone dock (without the keyboard) will be much less stable. Also the on/off button must be on the left for this to work because, with the hinged part of the case down, it covers up the keyboard's function keys.

We love it! Well done.
