WoW Moviewatch: Frozen Fate

Travis Lynch produced this video for his college video editing class. As the story goes, his teacher had never heard of machinima and couldn't quite wrap her head around Travis's explanation. However, she was open to the notion of letting students use the video style for class projects. She let Travis demonstrate machinima, to use his work as the basis of whether later students could also do so. And so Travis pulled an all-nighter to create Frozen Fate.

This video is a little longer than your normal machinima, clocking in at 10 minutes. However, I think the time is entirely well spent. The story is straightforward but very well scripted. I am especially excited that this video was created using in-game footage. While there was definitely some editing, the movie was created almost entirely out of a character's viewscreen. That's pretty exciting, especially when you consider how well Travis pulled the entire experience together.

I hope the teach agrees to let other students use machinima for their projects; it seems like Travis did a good job.
