WRUP: Giving air to some other games edition

Between the May and June NPDs — along with the UK weekly sales — it's quite clear that Take-Two CEO Ben Feder wasn't exaggerating when he said Red Dead Redemption "sucked the oxygen out of the room" at retail since its release. Alan Wake, along with several high-profile racing games, were just a few of the obvious victims. • Alexander Sliwinski (@XanderSliwinski): Attempts to finish Assassin's Creed 2 have been put on hold as Red Dead Redemption has taken over my game time.
• Andrew Yoon (@scxzor): [Still pining for Battle Tag]
• Ben Gilbert (@BigBossBgilbert): After paying 12 dollars too much for Patapon 2 (it's only eight bucks on PSN!), I've been mostly enjoying it while traveling on the subways of NYC. Maybe I'll get lucky and spend some time playing Orb Collector 2. Maybe.
• Chris Buffa (@ChrisBuffa): My significant other has a bachelorette party tonight, and that means I can finally play some games. Problem is, there are so many games that I won't be able to pick one and I'll just fall asleep on the couch eating ice cream.
• Christopher Grant (@ChrisGrant): After finishing both "Leliana's Song" and Secret of Monkey Island 2 Special Edition this past week, I'm on a downloadable kick – what better way to get ready for the always excellent Summer of Arcade? So I'll keep things flowing with another Ron Gilbert jam – this week, it's all about DeathSpank. I'm going to try and teach my dog to be my co-op partner.
• David Hinkle (@DaveHinkle): Ever since EVO 2010 has concluded, I've been on a major Super Street Fighter IV kick, so I'll likely play that a bunch this weekend. Gotta get all of those characters up to C rank!
• Griffin McElroy (@griffinmcelroy): I'll be spending most of the weekend getting my face rocked off and then back on again at the Pitchfork Music Festival. Maybe I can sneak a PSP in and tuck some more time into Final Fantasy IX while I'm there.

• JC Fletcher (@jcfletcher) I'll be walking around with Dragon Quest IX in Tag Mode, desperately hoping to pass by someone else doing the same thing.
• Justin McElroy (@JustinMcElroy): I'm going to be on a bus for a majority of this weekend ... maybe some Professor Layton?
• Ludwig Kietzmann (@LudwigK): I should really get back to Red Dead Redemption and Super Mario Galaxy 2. And MGS: Peace Walker! This is embarrassing.
• Mike Schramm (@MikeSchramm): I've decided to make myself finally beat Final Fantasy XIII, Puzzle Quest 2, or Crackdown 2 before I go ahead and pick up DeathSpank. And League of Legends: Season One is out, too, so I'll probably play a few matches of that to see where I rank.
• Randy Nelson (@DangerPenguin) I'll be eating spicy tacos and hacking up unicorns in DeathSpank. If any of my fellow Joystiqers lived near me, they could be my Sparkles the Wizard.
• Richard Mitchell (@SenseiRAM): More Limbo. Still need to finish Heavy Rain. Then I have to play "avoid buying DeathSpank and Deadliest Warrior."
