WRUP: Tautology edition
Every week, just at the start of the weekend, we catch up with the Massively team and ask, "What are you playing this week?" (Otherwise known as: WRUP!) Join us to see what we're up to in and out of game — and catch us in the comments to let us know what you're playing, too!
This is the tautology edition of WRUP. This is the fifth sentence of the tautology edition, with the previous sentence having explained that this was the tautology edition. Our sixth sentence includes a mention of badgers. However, our seventh sentence is very different from prior sentences, because it starts with the word "however." If you click the link below to read more, you will be able to read more about what the Massively crew is doing for the weekend. The ninth sentence is entirely extraneous, but it does mention badgers again.
- Beau Hindman (@spouseaggro): I will be playing a lot of Zentia, rebuilding in WURM Online, downloading and trying the next Rise and Shiny game, prepping for Monday night's Vanguard static group, and catching up in some Alganon. And, oh yeh, trying to get someone to build my tree house for me in Star Wars Galaxies — that game still has some of the most awesome toys in it, ever.
- Brendan Drain (@nyphur): Every week I plan to spend some time with my wormhole buddies in EVE Online, and every week something gets in the way. This weekend will be spent writing and going on a trip to the local zoo. If I get any spare time, I'll definitely be running some wormhole sites in EVE.
-
Brianna Royce: There won't be much MMO playtime for me this weekend, but I've got a fresh install of Torchlight on my laptop along with a big folder of mods to try out next week!
- Edward Marshall: I'll be working on my fourth level 50 character in Fallen Earth, as well as grinding a little faction rep for the big boys. I'm also going to try to put some time into the two closed betas I'm currently playing (I mean looking for bugs) in.
- Eliot Lefebvre: I'm returning to some of my roots this weekend — going through Final Fantasy XI with a friend and for experiment purposes, playing some Star Trek Online, and trying a little Aion for kicks. My high school reunion is also this weekend, which presents me with the interesting question of whether or not I want to bother going.

Greg Waller:This weekend is going to be a mess. Between SC2, M:TG Duels of the Planeswalkers, and WAR, I won't have much time. On top of all that, I think I might end up in the theatres on Saturday night to see the Sorcerer's Apprentice (I'm still trying to sell the girlfriend on it, might take some more convincing though).
- Jeremy Stratton (@loseyerlife): This weekend, it's mostly Runes of Magic. I recently hit 56 on my main; I'm continuing to push for the level cap; and my guild merged with another. I now have access to a castle with almost every technology building a castle can have. The previous owners did a great job decorating with furnishings from holidays past. And, oh yeah, there's a giant spiraling tower of rugs that reaches up into the sky. At the top sits a bed, an end table, and a mounted boar's head.
- Krystalle Voecks (@krystalle): This weekend will involve a great deal of Star Wars Galaxies, the opening weekend performances of Dog Sees God, and sitting around the house in my jammies, just because I can.
- Larry Everett (@shaddoe): It's a BioWare weekend for me. I want to brush up on KOTOR lore and BioWare storytelling, so I plan on playing a lot of KOTOR and Mass Effect this weekend. I should probably pick up a new copy of KOTOR II, too, since I can't seem to find mine.
- Patrick Mackey (@mackeypb): No surprise, guys: I'm still playing StarCraft II. It's still awesome. MMOs? What are those?
-
Ryan Greene (@thatgaynerd): Despite the nasty sunburn I earned on Wednesday, I plan to spend most of my weekend at the beach. I'll be reading The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet's Nest and wishing my DSiXL could get bright enough to play Dragon Quest IX outside on a sunny day.
-
Seraphina Brennan (@sera_brennan): This weekend is most likely hanging out with some friends and playing some board games. Mystery Express has been a really fun one to play in my group, but we might just crack out some StarCraft: The Board Game to honor SC2. Beyond that, I might sneak in some Cataclysm or spend some time in original, boring WoW. Depends whether my roommate wants to do Scarlet Monastery with our alts.
The weekend is the perfect time to kick back, relax and enjoy some time in-game. Wherever your gametime takes you, let us know in the comments what you're playing this weekend!
