The Queue: The cleavening

Welcome back to The Queue, WoW.com's daily Q&A column, in which the WoW.com team answers your questions about the World of Warcraft. Alex Ziebart will be your host today.

Today's edition of the Queue inspired me to show off the video of Lord Darius Crowley cleaving his way through a massive pack of worgen again. Really, I don't think you ever need a reason to watch that. It's just awesome.

richtoad asked:

"Is archaeology still in for
Cataclysm? Or has it been scrapped like Path of the Titans?"

Archaeology has not been canceled (yet?), but they also have not implemented it into the beta. I imagine it will be one of the last things implemented. The zones need to be finished before they can populate them with neato artifacts for archaeologists.

Grreymage asked:

"Do you know if the worgen and the goblin factions are getting representatives at the Argent Tournament?"

They are not.

Kinson asked:

"Does anyone know who or what the skull in Pit of Saron belongs to? The one that's suspended over the big, open pit?"

I assume it was built and not ripped out of a corpse. We simply haven't seen anything that could have possibly used a skull like that. That doesn't mean such a thing doesn't exist, of course, but I find it far more likely it was built by the Scourge to be an intimidating fixture to keep the slaves in line. That thing watching you work would scare you a hell of a lot more than a glorified Eye of Kilrogg.

Garneth asked:

"Has Lord Darius Crowley made a return anywhere after the worgen starting zone?"

Yes, but you won't get to see it if you're a worgen player -- or even Alliance, for that matter. Blizzard made a very strange choice regarding the worgen storyline. The story that worgen experience in their starting zone doesn't hit a resolution at the end of it. The story leads into Silverpine Forest, which has no Alliance presence whatsoever. Forsaken players get to see what happens to Darius Crowley and his merry band, not worgen. It's incredibly disappointing, really. The worgen get shunted off to Kalimdor to do quests for the elves instead of getting to witness the resolution of their own story.
