One Shots: Sometimes absence makes the heart grow fonder
What's a gamer to do when they're feeling a bit tred of his current game? Jump to another game that catches his fancy, and return to the other game later! Sometimes it's just what you need to remind you of what you loved about that MMO to begin with. Today's contributor Eamil recently experienced something similar, and decided to log back in to Star Trek Online. He writes in to tell us a bit more about it: "I've felt nostalgic all week, and when I remembered that Season 3 dropped recently, I had to try something. I logged on, dug my Excalibur out of mothballs, and gave her a new name and paint job. This picture was taken in the newly dubbed USS Absolution while I cruised through sector space with the UI turned off for a good hour, listening to Toonami soundtracks. The song playing when I took it was, appropriately, called 'Spacetime,' an especially mellow track out of what I had playing. Listening to that particular music while flying through the redesigned sector space was an amazingly zen experience for me."
One Shots is always on the lookout for great screenshots! If you'd like to take part in our daily dose of MMO eyecandy goodness, then send your screenshot in to us here at oneshots@massively.com along with your name, the name of the game, and a description of what we're seeing. Please make sure your image is at least 1024px wide (bigger is great) and has as few visible UI elements as possible. Your image could wind up being the next one we post here on Massively!
