MV Guide: January 17 - 24, 2011

MV Guide is a weekly rundown of the MMO gaming events planned on Massively's Livestream channel.

Every week the Massively staff will be logging in to play various MMOs live and in person, and we'd love for you to drop by the channel and visit. We'll have a combination of regular weekly games and new surprises, so you'll find a variety of games to take a look at. During Livestream events, you can participate in the live chat to learn about the game, ask questions, and spend some time with Massively staff and readers.

Are you worried about missing out due to your schedule? Don't be, because we'll be Livestreaming at various times during the afternoon and evening both weekdays and weekends, so you're sure to find something great up and running at a good time! If you miss a Livestream, we've got you covered there too! Just check out the "latest videos" section of our channel to find past Livestream events to view at your leisure.

Monday, 1:00 p.m. EST: Shawn -- Vindictus
Join Massively's Editor-in-Chief Shawn Schuster as he takes you through his favorite MMOs. Considering the fact that he can't seem to stick with one game for long, you're bound to see a variety of titles, including betas, new releases, and old favorites. In this episode, Shawn will take a look at his personal Game of the Year, Vindictus. Be sure to tune in as he goes through character creation and a few instances, explaining the game in the process.

Tuesday, 9:00 p.m. EST: Beau -- Anarchy Online
This week on Rise and Shiny, Beau will finally be taking a look at Anarchy Online. Join him in game -- his name is Beauhind. Ten years of development will lead any player into a forest of confusion, so he could use your tips!

Wednesday, 2:00 p.m. EST: Krystalle -- Black Prophecy
This week Krystalle will be heading for the far reaches of space in Reakktor Media and gamigo's Black Prophecy. She will be taking you through the first steps of character creation and onward for those of you who haven't managed to make it into the beta yet.

Wednesday, 5:00 p.m. EST: Larry -- DC Universe Online
Massively Man's adventures begin this Wednesday! What does the DC Universe Online have in store for him? With Superman as his mentor, we can only guess what villainous plots need thwarted. Lex Luthor is up to his old tricks in Metropolis, and with the influx of new villains from Brainiac's exobytes, Superman has his hands full. If you would like to join Massively Man (Larry Everett) on his adventure, sign up on the Zero Hour server, take Superman as your mentor, and meet Massively Man at the Little Bohemia police station 15 minutes before the stream starts. The next legend may be you!

Thursday, 9:00 p.m. EST: Rubi -- Guild Wars
Rubi, along with Massively's Guild Wars guild [MVOP], continues her progress in the Factions campaign. This week we'll catch up to Shiro, but he may not be as easy to kill as we thought. Join us in Sunjiang District and beyond!

Friday, 10:30 a.m. EST: Karen -- EverQuest II
Join Karen as she explores yet another Sentinel's Fate instance in EverQuest II. She and her guildmates will visit the Erudin Research Halls, a place where the Erudites experimented with teleportation and ended up porting in a dangerous creature. Bring your coffee, join us for a good old-fashioned group crawl, and come see more proof that Gnomes are in fact evil.
