TUAW's Daily App: Disc Drivin'

Disc Drivin' is sort of a racing game, but it's probably not like any racing game you've seen before. It's more of a social game. Like Words With Friends, you can trade turns with anyone via a variety of connections, or just jump in and play someone randomly online. The idea is that you're "racing" a pair of discs around a set of tracks. Each move lets you aim and push your disc forward through obstacles and curves, in a turn-by-turn race through three laps. There are some powers to use as well: you can jump over gaps, grab a boost of speed, or use a few other special tricks.

Unfortunately, there's no Game Center integration, which seems disgraceful in a social game like this. But the app is still a lot of fun anyway, especially if you can convince some friends to come along for the ride. It's US $2.99 in the App Store right now, or there's a free version out as well.
