Massively's EVE Online CSM 6 candidate roundup: New campaigners (p2)

This year has brought in a significant number of new campaigners. Since there are fewer applicants with direct experience with the CSM process, newcomers will have a significantly higher chance of getting a seat on the council. Several of this year's newcomers are entrants put forward by large nullsec alliances and political power blocs. In an interview with us, CSM 5 member Meissa Anunthiel warned that there was a large effort this year by nullsec alliances to take over the CSM through organised voting.

Alliance candidates being voted into the CSM isn't necessarily a bad thing, as nullsec is arguably EVE's most compelling endgame and it's in dire need of attention. A council dominated by nullsec alliances, however, might be detrimental to the entire CSM process. The council is obligated to treat issues raised by players impartially, but an organised concensus against certain issues may eliminate those topics from discussion with CCP for an entire year. The most notable issue nullsec candidates are likely to veto would be CSM 5's suggestion of breaking up large political power blocs by making nullsec logistics and force projection more difficult.

Below is a list of candidates who aren't former CSM members or CCP employees but have put some effort into running serious, active campaigns for public support. If you're unhappy with the performance of previous CSM terms and are looking for someone who supports your views, these are definitely the guys to vote for. The right new candidate could bring a lot to the council.

If you spot any errors in the list or have a useful link to contribute, please leave it in the comments at the end of the article.
