Beau Hindman (@Beau_Hindman): This weekend I'll be switching to Free Realms for Rise and Shiny. I haven't been able to sit down and really spend some great time with the game for a while, but I'm eager to see all the new items and tweaks that have been made. I'll probably be playing that a lot this weekend. Also, I want to check out Faxion Online's new patch and will of course be logging into my usual MMORTS like Illyriad and Ministry of War. I need to level up my Zumi in Eden Eternal, and simply have to find the time to log into Wurm Online. Our merchant needs to be checked on.
When I was a kid we really enjoyed GURPS by Steve Jackson. Granted, we used to sit around and make characters all day, but it might be neat to have an MMO that used a similar, open system.
Brandon Felczer (@bfelczer): This weekend I will be practicing for my Star Trek Online livestream that I am doing next week. Why am I practicing, you ask? Well, I am going to be running a group through the second Borg radiosode, The Cure. This run can take anywhere between 1.5 hours and 3 hours, depending on how skilled the group is. With this weekend's practice, I am thinking we can get it down to one hour! I've been contemplating some new strategies so this will allow me to test them out before we go live on the air. Wish us luck!
Eliot Lefebvre: I've been really digging on Final Fantasy XIV's latest patch and the roleplaying events my shell has been hosting, so I'm likely to be knee-deep in that when not taking care of some around-the-house stuff. Also looking to weave some Catherine in there, and maybe a slice of some Guild Wars if I can.
Far more than the World of Darkness game that's coming up, I'd love to see one of White Wolf's other properties get the MMO treatment — Exalted. Yeah, it would probably be messy as heck to actually play with the wildly varying power levels of the different Exalts and the huge variety of powers, but the over-the-top approach to the setting made it an absolute joy to read about and play.
Jeremy Stratton (@Jeremy_Stratton): I'll be taking care of the Runes of Magic event-guild [Mveventful] through the weekend and following week. We've been doing great for only having ten members, so far. We've got the library, a couple resource farms and soon we'll have some buff towers. If I have more time, I'll play some Perpetuum and RIFT.
I think Battletech could be an incredible MMORPG. I'd definitely want it to be a lot like Perpetuum and EVE Online. All the movement and action phases would lend itself well to battling that way. Perpetuum is already great inspiration for what an online Battletech universe could be and the IP has an incredible amount of backstory and lore.
Rubi Bayer (@Rubi_): I'll be indulging in more of my latest obsession: League of Legends. While I've been fairly timid on the PvP front, playing bot matches almost exclusively, the Dominion update has piqued my interest in a big way. I'll definitely be checking it out this weekend! I'm hoping to sneak in some RIFT time as well — my poor Mage has been stuck in Scarwood Reach for weeks and I think she's starting to resent me leaving her there clad head to toe in wool robes. Time to get her out of there!
