Choose My Adventure: What is this I don't even

Even the Doctor doesn't know what's happening
Where am I? What's going on? How did I get here? I'm so confused! Oh, uh, hi there. I'm Matt, or as most of you probably know me, the new guy. It looks like I'm next on the chopping block for Choose My Adventure, and I am contractually obligated to say that I was in no way coerced, blackmailed, or threatened into doing this column.

Now that that's out of the way, let's get on with it. A bit about my MMO history: I've played everything. All right, super. That being said, I don't always play everything a whole lot, and right now I'm what you call "between games." That's where y'all come in. Help me out of my MMO slump by forcing me at gunpoint to play a game of your choosing. It's that simple! My playstyles vary wildly, and I can easily go from carebear PvE to hardcore PvP to melodramatic RP depending on which game I'm unceremoniously thrust into. So do your worst, Massively readers. If you're interested in knowing the logic behind the games I chose for the poll, read on past the cut. Otherwise, skip straight to the voting bit and be sure to get your votes in by 11:59 p.m. EDT on October 14th. I'll see y'all again next week!

Age of Conan -- Blood and Glory server
I was really excited about Age of Conan at launch, but a plethora of bugs and unfinished content drove me off. Now that the game has been Unchained, I feel like the time may be ripe for me to give the game another go. And for added fun, I'd be willing to try my luck on the Blood and Glory server type.
Anarchy Online
An oldie but a goodie. We haven't heard much from Anarchy Online lately, aside from the announcement that the game's engine is getting retooled. I loved it back in the day, though, and figured it might be a fun throwback for CMA.
Champions Online
I played Champions at launch, but I'll openly admit that I spent more time in the character creator than I did in the actual game. Now that the game is free-to-play, I don't see why I couldn't give the game a second look.
City of Heroes
I've always had something of a love affair with City of Heroes, though I've never really given it a fair chance to really drag me in. A few of the other Massively staffers swear by it, however, so I'm willing to give it a shot.
DC Universe Online
And for the superhero hat trick, we've got DCUO. I played the beta for this one but never touched the game after it launched, so this is one of the rare games that will have me flying blind.
I love sandbox games, and Earthrise is the only one of the "major" sandboxes that I have yet to touch. So again, I'll be flying blind on this one, which is sure to spell out disastrous hilarity in a sandbox title.
EverQuest was one of my first forays into the MMO world, and it will always hold a special place in my heart. I haven't touched the game since Planes of Power was released in 2002. Perhaps it's time to delve back into Norrath and see if my nostalgia holds up against cold, harsh reality.
EverQuest II
Like Age of Conan, EQII is one of the MMOs that I tried right away at launch, but for one reason or another I couldn't really get into the game. Maybe my feelings will be more favorable this time around.
Final Fantasy XIV
Oh, Final Fantasy XIV. I bought this one on launch day and found myself sorely disappointed. Our own Eliot Lefebvre, though, promises that the game has improved by leaps and bounds. I admit, I suspect the game's wealth of different paths and options would make for an excellent CMA.
Global Agenda
Global Agenda is something of a black sheep on this list, given its highly contested "is it an MMO or isn't it" status. I'm no stranger to the game, though, and I do love a good manshoot, so here it is on the list.
Matt Daniel is in a bit of a slump. You see, he's between MMOs, and he needs your help in deciding what to play next. Stop by every Wednesday for Choose My Adventure and tell him what to play, how to play it, and what color underwear to wear. No guarantees on that last one, though.
