Retro City Rampage turns on the Biffsignal

How does Retro City Rampage get so many jokes in at once while remaining a playable game? This latest trailer, for example, introduces "Biffman," a superhero for whom your character substitutes.

In just a few brief scenes (and relatively few pixels!) this setup allows Vblank to make fun of Batman in general, and the '60s TV show in specific, while making a random, but logically sound, Pitfall! reference — and a related Atari 2600 joke.

"Biffman" is also a funny name, on its own.
