MV Guide

MV Guide is a weekly rundown of the MMO gaming events planned on Massively's Livestream channel.

Every week, the Massively staff logs in to play various MMOs live and in person, and we'd love for you to drop by the channel and visit. We have a combination of regular weekly games and new surprises, so you'll find a variety of titles to take a look at. During livestream events, you can participate in the live chat, ask questions to learn about the game, and simply spend some time with Massively staff and readers. (Of course, livestream events are subject to the whims of outside forces like server-side gremlins once in a while.)

Monday, 1 p.m. EST: Karen -- Little Space Heroes
Join Karen as she explores this adorable kids game, and don't forget to check out her first impressions in her MMO Family column from week. Jet packs, bubble guns, and cute space critters -- what's not to like?

Monday, 5:00 p.m. EST: Beau -- Ultima Online
It's time -- time to look back on an older title to see just how it is holding up. Also, Beau is making his yearly revisit to older games, so he might as well try out Ultima Online. If he's lucky, he can get around the absolutely horrible account issues with EA/Mythic/Origin (or whatever it is called) and find his original '99 account, which he played just last year. If not, he'll go with a trial. Either way, check out the stream to see how it holds up!

Tuesday, 5:00 p.m. EST: Beau -- War of Dragons
Looking for a new browser-based MMO? Well, watch this stream as Beau tries out War of Dragons. It's a strange mix of MUD, 2-D client and strategy. Here's hoping that it does not suck, or it will be a long week.

Tuesday, 7 p.m. EST: Brandon -- Star Trek Online
Hang out with Brandon for an evening full of Star Trek Online as he treks across the galaxy in search of adventure. Also, feel free to join in on the chat through the Livestream site and give him requests on what you would like to see. If you happen to be around in-game and want to team up with him, send an invite to @bfelczer.

Wednesday, 5:00 p.m. EST: Beau -- War of Dragons
Beau continues his playtime with this strange new browser-based MUD, uhm, thing. You might want to sit in the chat room and ask him questions. Or better yet, sit in the chat room and tell him what to do!

Thursday, 5:00 p.m. EST: Beau -- War of Dragons
Dragons? War? You got it! Watch as Beau continues to dive into this (hopefully) awesome game. It looks and plays great so far, so check it out!

Thursday, 9:00 p.m. EST: Jeremy and Karen -- Fallen Earth
Jeremy and Karen trade in their elven swords for fireplace pokers and sawed off shotguns as they pay a visit to post-apocalyptic Earth. Will they survive? Probably not, but they'll have fun trying!

Friday, 5:00 p.m. EST: Beau -- War of Dragons
Sometimes, when a Dragon wants to go to war, he... OK, OK, so Beau is continuing to look at War of Dragons, this cool browser-based game. If you want, check out the last day of streaming. Consider it a try-it-before-you-buy-it offer. It is free, though. Enjoy!

Friday, 9:00 p.m. EST: Karen and Jeremy -- DC Universe Online
Karen and Jeremy are giving free-to-play DCUO another try this week. Has the stampede settled down any? Join them and find out!
