Anarchy Reigns reined in until July 2012
Once planned for January 2012, Sega announced that the brawler Anarchy Reigns has been delayed until July 3 in North America, July 6 in Europe, and July 5 in Australia.
Offering a cryptic explanation for the delay in the announcement, Sega West Senior Vice President of Marketing Gary Knight suggested significant new content: "I can't reveal much now," he said, "but it's something to do with scale. Let's just say traditional one on one or two versus two fighters will be a thing of the past ..."
Our guess is that Platinum is having a hard time getting back to work on this when Metal Gear Rising exists.
SEGA and PlatinumGames online multiplayer brawler ANARCHY REIGNS moves to July 2012.
SEGA® Europe Ltd. and SEGA® of America, Inc. today announce that upcoming third-person multiplayer brawler, ANARCHY REIGNS™, will now be available on 3 July 2012 in the US, 6 July 2012 in Europe and 5 July 2012 in Australia. The much anticipated next title from critically acclaimed developer PlatinumGames will be released on the Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft and PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system for all console bruisers.
"ANARCHY REIGNS brings a new take to the brawler genre and we've decided to take a little more time to deliver the full knockout punch. I can't reveal much now, but it's something to do with scale. Let's just say traditional one on one or two versus two fighters will be a thing of the past..." said Gary Knight, Senior Vice President of Marketing at SEGA West.
ANARCHY REIGNS will now be available in July 2012 for the Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft and the PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system.
