WRUP: "Hello from the past" says the time traveler from the future

Every week, just at the start of the weekend, we catch up with the WoW Insider staff and ask them, "What are you playing this week?" -- otherwise known as: WRUP. Join us to see what we're up to in and out of game, and catch us in the comments to let us know what you're playing, too!

Greetings, humans! I am a time traveler from the near-distant future. Three hours in the future, exactly! I'd give you news and tidings of the future, but I arrived over three hours ago, so all my unique knowledge is already outdated. Sorry about that. Bad planning.

Time travelers such as me have unique needs. We are subject to terrible bouts of time sickness. And, of course, we need gobs of mammoth chunks and delicious powdered horse milk. (100% horse -- no ponies!) Thankfully, there's a store in Los Angeles that caters to these needs, the Echo Park Time Travel Mart. It seriously exists, and it seriously sells stuff like Robot Milk. There are pictures after the break to prove it.

The store is actually a front for 826LA, a nonprofit writing and tutoring center for city kids. So if you're hungry for horse milk, you can get some while supporting the youth of Los Angeles. Which is a pretty awesome thing. I mean, we need to start nurturing the next Fox Van Allen now. I can't keep this WRUP thing up forever.

Which reminds me: We should probably get this WRUP rolling. So, everyone, What aRe yoU Playing this week?

paradox free workplace

Alex Ziebart (@alexziebart)Arkham City! The Arkham games are a blast, I just wish Detective Vision didn't make me nauseous for some reason I'm unable to explain. Also? I want more play time as Catwoman. She's kind of awesome.

Allison Robert (@AllisonRobert) I'll be doing an awful lot of writing this weekend in the hope of avoiding a mad rush over the holidays. Apart from that, lots of cleaning and, if I get the chance, more forlorn archaeology in Kalimdor. That Crawling Claw is never going to show.

Anne Stickney (@Shadesogrey) Sadly, the real world has lots in store for me over the next few days -- I have a bookcase to stain and a wall to stencil and a room to rearrange! Then I have one last Christmas present to go nab, and a tree to decorate, too, and possibly some cookies to bake for incoming company next week. When I am done with all that (or possibly in between all that), I'll be raiding Dragon Soul -- either that, or absorbing dragon souls so I can continue gleefully murdering dragons. Maybe I'll finally finish that errand for that talking dog, too ...

Chase Christian (@madsushi) I am playing the hell out of SW:TOR. My love for Jedi lore knows no bounds. Also, starting work on heroic Dragon Soul.

Daniel Desmond (@hazmacewillraid) Chaining the Raid Finder on my paladin to try to get my last piece of new tier and a shot at that awesomesauce tentacle sword, Gurthalak. Also, possibly humiliating myself on my disc priest in the new heroics. Healing is hard when you're constantly OOM.

Daniel Whitcomb (@DanielWhitcomb) It's AV weekend, and I have two level 70ish characters who want to avoid leveling in Northrend as much as possible. Hopefully, I'll be able to score a ton of AV wins so as to oblige them.

Dawn Moore (@dawnwow) Does anyone know how you get into the Fox Van Allen Band? I want to do vocals. If not that, I'd settle with being a backup singer for Mike Sacco and the Saccos. Anyway, I'm waiting for my computer to arrive in the mail, so no PC games for the next few days. Going to play Skyward Sword in the interim.

Fox Van Allen (@foxvanallen)(gplus.to/foxvanallen) This weekend, I'll spending six hours sitting on a plane bound for Boston. If the wireless internet isn't working on the flight, I don't think I'll make it home with my sanity intact. So, if you're in Dungeon Finder this weekend, you might be running End Time with a dude from 30,000 feet. With the most atrocious lag possible.

There's one thing I definitely won't be doing: Playing SW:TOR. Because Star Wars is silly and dumb and I don't like it. There. I said it.

Joe Perez (@Lodurzj) Owning face as Snowmerdinger, whenever I'm not collecting bounties and ears in a galaxy far far away. I must hunt the most dangerous game, Jedi. The risks will be great, but the rewards and renown greater. Soon, the name Lodur Kravhenn will be respected and despised throughout the galaxy.

Kelly Aarons (@Cadistra) I'll be playing the last weekend push at my job before Christmas. If I have time to, then I'll be leveling my straight-laced, by-the-book Republic Trooper in SW:TOR.

Matt Low (@matticus) CAN'T RESPOND, FOX! BUSY KILLING WHOMP RATS AND JEDI SCUM!

Mathew McCurley (@gomatgo)SW:TOR and WoW all weekend for me. Writing, games, and chillin' out.

Matthew Walsh (@Rhidach) Leveling my Bounty Hunter in TOR. I love that game, like whoa.

Michael Gray (@writegray) This weekend I'm finishing the first draft of my novel, doing some Christmas shopping, and brewing a round of oatmeal stout suitable for Christmas gifts. I'm nearly finished a Scotch ale I made a bit back and want something with weight to get through the long, winter months.

Olivia Grace(@oliviadgrace) Last time I was in Hollywood, I crashed a hire car into a wheelie bin. The bin was fine. I'll be doing some PvP and putting too much tinsel on a Christmas tree while my brother complains it's tasteless.

Robin Torres (@cosmiclaurel) I'd tell you, but I'm on a top-secret mission for the Empire. If and when I do resurface, I'll be picking flowers and digging up old stuff on my mage.

Tyler Caraway (@murmursofadruid) All the whomp rats must die! Jedi are nerf herders ...

The weekend is the perfect time to kick back, relax and enjoy some game time. Are you an achievement junkie? Can't get enough raiding? Rolling a new alt? Considering taking the leap into roleplaying? Whatever your favorite way to play World of Warcraft, let us know in the comments what you're playing this weekend!
