MV Guide: April 23 - 29, 2012
MV Guide is a weekly rundown of the MMO gaming events planned on Massively TV.
Every week, the Massively staff logs in to play various MMOs live and in person, and we'd love for you to drop by the channel and visit. We have a combination of regular weekly games and new surprises, so you'll find a variety of titles to take a look at. During our streamed events, you can participate in the live chat, ask questions to learn about the game, and simply spend some time with Massively staff and readers. (Of course, streaming is subject to the whims of outside forces like server-side gremlins once in a while.)

Monday
5:00 p.m. EDT: Beau -- Gemstone IV
After being taken off course by a week of illness, Beau decided to give this old school MUD another chance at Rise and Shiny. He'll recap what he has already learned and enjoy the benefits of having some time with the game already. If you have ever wondered how a MUD works and how it can actually be considered an MMO, check this stream out.
8:00 p.m. EDT: Mike -- EVE Online
Mike will continue his EVE dominance by stepping up his mission game and branching out into new systems. Pirates die by the dozens as we make it rain missiles (and ISK).
Tuesday
2:00 p.m. EDT: Larry -- Star Wars: The Old Republic
Let's do some more Update 1.2: Legacy exploration this week. Bring your questions about what's in store as Larry takes his level 50 Sith Marauder out for a spin on the public test server.
9:00 p.m. EDT: MJ -- EverQuest II
Want to see a Monk gorge on XP so fast her tail spins? Last week may not have worked, but this week we have a guaranteed ticket on the powerleveling train! Come watch MJ and try to guess how many levels she'll get in one hour. (And then just imagine if it were double XP!)
Wednesday
5:00 p.m. EDT: Beau -- Second Life
This Second Life Wednesday is all about buying land on the mainland. Beau is going to show you how to search for land and how the different tiers of service work and what you get with each one. Hopefully this stream will clear up some of the questions that come with purchasing land for the first time.
7:00 p.m. EDT: Mike -- Drakensang Online
Mike ventures into the F2P, browser-based MMO world with Drakensang Online, an isometric dungeon crawler packed with monsters and magic. Watch as he treats a variety of foes to tasty fireball sandwiches.
8:00 p.m. EDT: James "Adventure Mike" -- EverQuest
Join Adventure Mike this week as he jumps in for a look back at one of his favorite games of yesteryear. EverQuest has recently gone free to play, so he decided it would be a great opportunity to revisit the world of Norrath to relive some of his favorite adventures. This week, Mike will be going over some of the ways to start up a new character if you are fresh to the new free-to-play version.
9:00 p.m. EDT: Jeremy -- Vanguard
Join Jeremy in a group Vanguard meetup. Everyone needs to meet at Renton Keep in Thestra. The first group livestream will be a simple but fun march to Veskal's Exchange, with a pit-stop at Leth Nurae.
10:00 p.m. EDT: MJ -- Vanguard
Double your Telon fun today! By viewer request, MJ is going to spend the evening showing off the housing construction in Vanguard along with a bit of house decorating. We say "a bit" because she can get lost doing that for hours!
Thursday
9:00 p.m. EDT: MJ -- Aion
We may not have managed to secure a slot in Dredgion last week, but that won't keep up from trying! Check in for a look at a group adventure either there (queues willing) or in a dungeon.
Friday
5:00 p.m. EDT: Beau -- Nodiatis
Nodiatis is a strange Java-based fantasy game that Beau has tried in the past but never got very far in. This time he's going to see how far he can get! How many rats will he have to kill? Plenty, we bet. Beau missed this one last week, so this week he'll finally get to it!
7:00 p.m. EDT: Richie -- Guild Wars 2
The first Guild Wars 2 beta weekend event is here and there is no NDA! So that means we can stream this highly anticipated game, and Richie is all over it. Join him as he creates a character from scratch and enters the world of Tyria 250 years after the events of the original Guild Wars. Don't miss it, folks; it's going to be scrumtrilescent.
9:00 p.m. EDT: Jeremy -- Atlantica Online
An interesting aspect of Atlantica Online is its spectator feature. Players can choose to watch other player matches, which ends up being a great way to study other players' strategies and watch a good battle. Grab some popcorn and tune in as Jeremy gives you a front-row seat to some turn-based battles.
Saturday
12:00 p.m. EDT: Richie -- Guild Wars 2
Richie is back for his second Guild Wars 2 beta show of the week, and he'll probably be a bit punchy. Staying up all night hopped up on caffeine plus Guild Wars 2 should equal an amazing livestream show, right? Or he may just pass out drooling on his keyboard. Either way, it should be fun to watch!
5:00 p.m. EDT: Dylan "GGraves" -- Guild Wars 2
Charr, Human and Norn clash in the first Guild Wars 2 public beta event! Exciting, congested and questionably stable, we're diving into the beta head-first. Join Dylan as he tests this highly anticipated next gen MMO and answers your questions. There is sure to be some exciting content and lots of buffoonery because as we all know beta servers are a fickle mistress.
Sunday
3:00 p.m. EDT: Elisabeth -- Guild Wars 2
Elisabeth joins the Guild Wars 2 beta streaming crew to finish up the weekend in style. You'd think that three other streams of the game over the course of the weekend would be enough, but she'd respectfully disagree, so back into Tyria we go!
5:00 p.m. EDT: Dylan "GGraves" -- Destroy All Evil! (Diablo II)
Join Dylan as he celebrates the upcoming release of Diablo III. This series will bring light into darkness as GGraves cuts through hordes of demons and undead. Hellfire, massive weapons and righteous redemption await. Come join us in the chat room as we Destroy All Evil with other Massively viewers. The featured game will be Diablo II, so stay a while and listen.
