Carmen Sandiego heading to Hollywood

Where is Carmen Sandiego She's at your local cinema!

Carmen Sandiego is ready to steal Hollywood (she already stole the sign in 1985). Walden Media is working on a big-screen adaptation of the educational series, with Jennifer "From the Block" Lopez producing and possibly starring.

The story will be penned by Darren Lemke, who wrote Shrek Forever After and the coming Jack the Giant Killer. One should take this to mean it will be a family-friendly film and not an edgy reinterpretation of the master thief.

The plot of the movie, according to THR, involves Carmen Sandiego's turn from the greatest detective at the ACME agency to infamous criminal. When her former colleague tries to hunt her down, he uncovers a conspiracy and "questions whether Carmen is a really a thief -- or a hero."
