Ouya console seeks funding through Kickstarter
In addition to the Android and free-to-play roots, the Ouya is looking very "2012" in another very important way: its development is being funded on Kickstarter. The drive is already over $112,000 into its $950,000 goal, with 29 days to go. It appears people are eager to get their hands on an Android-powered, easily programmable, cheap console – which makes us even more confused that Google dropped the ball with the Nexus Q. That could have been exactly the same thing as the Ouya, but for some reason Google limited its media capabilities to music and videos. So close.
Oh, and from that Kickstarter page: "OOO-yah." We were wondering too.%Gallery-160066%
