Previously on MV TV: The week of August 25th

I know that many of you are at PAX or want news about PAX or would love to see a recap livestream from PAX, but that's not happening. I'm sorry to say but this week's recap session really has nothing to do with the Seattle meet-up. Don't worry, though; there is plenty for all of us to enjoy! What sort of stuff do I have for you this week? Ah, I thought you'd never ask.

Mike's back this week with his usual lineup of EVE Online and World of Tanks. Piggy follows that up with a tour through All Points Bulletin. Go, Piggy, go! MJ once again streams all of her favorite things, including The Secret World, her first jaunt into Guild Wars 2 (I mean literally her first steps!) followed by some EverQuest II, Aion, and DC Universe Online. I round things off with some PvP developer action in Darkblood Online and a tour of Astral space and super-huge space demons with the dev team from Allods Online!

Grab some space popcorn and click past the cut!

Mike shows off some fancy flying moves as he fleets up with his corp and heads out for a bit of small gang warfare. Escapes are made, tactics are deployed, and of course, Mike gets blown up a whole bunch of times. If you've ever wanted an inside look at EVE Online's PvP action, this is it.

World of Tanks banner

This week in World of Tanks Mike actually managed to score a few kills and crush a few of his enemies under the treads of his tank. Also, he blew up a tank by running into another tank, which is probably the stupidest way to die in any game ever. Tune in for a tutorial on how not to play World of Tanks.

Psykopig goes diving head first into a car crash this week by taking on All Points Bulletin! With awesome music and a butt-load of bullets, Psykopig remembers how to hold his own in this PvP-centric third-person shooter. He has a few crappy matches but one really amazing one by taking the lead in kills. This is a show you don't want to miss! Check out the first part and the second part!

The Secret World banner

When life starts getting stranger than fiction, what do you do? On Solomon Island, you hide in a lighthouse and create a story from what's living below you. Who needs imagination, anyway? This week, MJ's adventures centered around the ornery old codger Sam Krieg.

Guild Wars 2 banner

Did she or didn't she? Yes, MJ took her first steps into the newly released Guild Wars 2. But did she like it? After trying a Charr Engineer and a Sylvani Elementalist, her impression so far is... well, you will have to watch to see!

EverQuest II banner

Handling explosives, walking the plank, and shuffling boxes... all a part of the Splitpaw Saga adventure pack. Need some clues as to how to get down to the hidden city of Gnolls to gain their trust (and earn some cool rewards)? Watch MJ maneuver through the caves as the adventure in Gnoll-land begins.

Aion banner

To group or not to group -- that was the question. And the answer this time turned out to be "not." Unable to find lower-level groups on the Fast Track server, MJ finished up some campaign quests and discovered that PvP-free is booooooring!

DCUO banner

Nothing says Gotham City like fighting the Sandman in the sewers! Well, that and the bat signal! Watch as MJ and group go sewer diving to save Batwoman. Then take a quick trip to Metropolis to take a gander at how the other half lives.

Darkblood Online banner

If PvP is your thing, you should really check out my livestream of Darkblood Online's tag-team tourney! I was joined by some of the Outspark developers to witness massive amounts of carnage in the awesome side-scroller. The PvP was described to me as basically "Tekken-like," and I have to say that the description was accurate. Hotbar those AoEs and jump in to the arena... just don't say I didn't warn you!

Allods Online banner

Allods Online features one of the coolest high-level systems in almost any MMO: astral space. I decided to take out my very own Astral ship and put a ton of space demons in the sights of my cannon. I didn't do it alone, though. I teamed up with two of the gPotato developers and one of the best players on the server. What did I find out? Well, I now know that without massive amounts of help, there would be no way for a newb like yours truly to survive in the Astral. That place is hardcore.
