Previously on MV TV: The week of September 22nd

Previously On MV TV banner

It's that time of the week again, people! Time for those unlucky few who missed our livestreams as they went live to click beyond the cut and enjoy my favorites of the week. It's hard picking them out, so I reach out to the team and ask which ones deserve to be highlighted. Honestly, all of the livestreams deserve the spotlight, but it should be no surprise to find out that individual streamers find their own streams to be the best of the best. I tend to agree, and every week I am surprised at just how no-nonsense and informative our streams are. Be sure to bookmark our livestream schedule calender so that each week you can tune in to your favorite. Feel free to suggest titles for streaming and to chat it up with our streamers live as they play!

This week we have MJ returning with her favorite games like EverQuest II, Aion, The Secret World, Vanguard: Saga of Heroes, and Guild Wars 2. Richie joins in with his current favorite, Guild Wars 2, and I round things off with an hour spent with the Ultima Online developer team, a goblinball session with community leaders in Allods Online, and a tutorial on building a house in Wurm Online! Trust me, if there is one goblin-kicking, dev-interviewing, house-building livestream series that you should watch, it's this one!

Blue light kills, oh yes it does! Excited about getting ready for the next expansion, MJ started the mysterious quest mailed to her by Erus Dal'viv. Along the way, she followed ravens, watched a woman explode from blue light, and came face-to-face with a very cool-looking Tirun Enforcer from beyond.

The idea? To show off Aion's anniversary activities. Put meat on the table? Easy peasy. Set off fireworks? With her eyes closed! Gather an aether flame to light the candles on the birthday cake? HA! Watch as the RNG gods pour their wrath upon MJ.

What does every Illuminati need to experience? Why, Fusang, of course! MJ started off the night by jumping into the PvP zone and showing off her cool, new sword. After finishing those missions, it was off to power through some more Kingsmouth quests. Watch those zombies melt like warm butter.

Left to her own devices when a group never materialized, MJ tried to check out Lord Tsang's Tomb alone on her disciple. Probably not the best of ideas, since breathing near one of the mobs resulted in a tombstone run. Guess how many deaths MJ accumulated, then watch the stream and see how close you can get!

Unable to get past character creation, MJ put her Asura plans on hold (give her a few weeks; she'll get one made!) and instead jumped back in to fry, freeze, and fricassee critters on her Elementalist. Of course, what taunted her as she logged in? That jumping puzzle. Could she do it? After a few tense moments, she got closer to the top, and then...

In Richie's Guild Wars 2 stream this week, he and a bunch of his trusty viewers adventured in the icy area of Dredgehaunt Cliffs. Unsurprisingly, it was filled with the mole-like dredge, who were not overly happy to see them. Together the team unlocked ancient dwarven tombs, scaled mountains in search of magnificent vistas, and fell repeatedly trying to do those dastardly jumping puzzles! Check it out.

I was joined by the Ultima Online developer team to celebrate the 15th anniversary of the grandparent of graphical MMOs! I fielded some questions from the live audience and Twitter and found myself asking everything I could think of. Free-to-play? The future? All of these questions, and more, are answered during this stream. Oh, and happy anniversary to my very first MMO!

Allods Online banner

Goblin ball is a sport in which Allods Online players kick a goblin around a field in the hopes of scoring a goal. What happens when you add in some of the best players of the game and a pair of developer team members? You get a giant-sized goblin and screams of "GOOAALLLL!" There are some exciting changes coming to goblinball, as well, so tune in to this stream to find out what they are.

Wurm Online banner

Lastly I took an hour to show off how to flatten and build on a piece of land in Wurm Online. I was joined by Brian, an old gaming buddy of mine who goes by the name Faeran in world. He showed me how to flatten and raise a piece of land, lay out a basic house, and finish it off with the help of some great players. We actually built my entire shack within the span of the stream! We'll continue this series for a while and will eventually show how to raise some crops, tame and raise animals, and defend your property from giant spiders and flaming creatures! If you've wanted to start off in Wurm Online but have never known how, this series is a great starting point.

Did you miss Massively TV last week? Are you too busy to dig through a week's worth of video to get to the highlights? Never fear! We've done the work for you right here in Previously on MV TV, a roundup of epic battles, tragic deaths, and juicy outtakes from last week's livestreams.
