WRUP: Ghost of Azeroth Present

WRUP Ghost of Azeroth Present

The holidays are fully upon us, descended around the house and home like the drifting snow the season is famous for. It's been a rough week, and I'm not going to say much. As many of us are parents -- and all of us are human beings with basic emotions like compassion and empathy -- well. Everyone's said nearly everything. We're feeling it, too.

Most of this article was written by Thursday night, so if we seem too jovial... that's because none of us could have known.

Adam Holisky
(@adamholisky)
I'm not going to play WoW this weekend. Instead I'll be trapped in a infinite loop of eating sushi and then going to see The Hobbit.

Alex Ziebart (@AlexZiebart) I'm going to be playing a whole lot of pet battles while doing a whole lot of writing. The first draft of my book is almost done! Then it's a matter of making it... you know, not terrible.

The Ghost of Azeroth Present doesn't actually care about Azeroth. Instead, he comes to my house IRL to hang out with my new cat, because cats are cool.

Anne Stickney (@Shadesogrey) It is about time to pull out all the Christmas decorations and make the house look festive, so I'll be doing that this weekend, along with some writing, a little raiding, and maybe nabbing some more Battle Pets. As for the ghost of Azeroth present, I imagine it'd take the form of Chi-Ji and smack me around for killing his children for their fancy plumes.

Allison Robert (@AllisonRobert)
Chase Hasbrouck (@alarondruid, @alaronmonk) VP capping my druid and monk; other then that, not much planned. I'm working on updating my druid and monk guides for 5.1, so lots of time staring at spreadsheets and stuff.

The Ghost of Azeroth Present would visit me, take me somewhere, and then get upset because I spend so much time logged-in but away from keyboard. :)

Dan Desmond (@Antigen_) I'll probably try to figure out how to get past Millie Watt in the Brawler's Guild, and maybe, just maybe, learning how to heal on my paladin. Oh, and hopefully wrapping up XCOM without it crashing on me and making me lose all of my progress on the last mission.

Daniel Whitcomb (@danielwhitcomb) Between my day job's christmas shindig and a few other things, I'm going to be hard pressed to find time to play this weekend. Still, I'd like to at least finish the August Celestials grind on my tailoring alt, and cap my valor points on my main for Wrathion's little questline. I also plan to take my Turian Sentinel out and do a couple nice patriotic Firebase Condor runs for the ME3 MP weekend challenge.

The Ghost of Azeroth present would probably remind me how much money I could be making if I would finally level my Jewelcrafter and Scribe, or at least learn to play the AH. Or try to convince me to spend Christmas playing WoW for 12 hours straight.

Elizabeth Wachowski (@leeatwaterlives) Just work, and probably going right to bed at night since I'm at our busiest station.

The Ghost of Azeroth Present would smack me for my lack of dedicated gaming time.

Joe Perez (@lodurzj) more pet battles, I'm addicted to the things! Just got my Pandaren Earth Spirit, and him and Mr. Bigglesworth are going to tear it up! That, and I've started learning how to DPS on my shaman, and apparently I'm not terrible at it. Who knew?

The Ghost of Azeroth Present would be joining me on my great adventure in Pandaria, Pet battling accross the continent. The journey has just begun!

Matt Rossi (@MattWRossi) Raiding sunday, otherwise just doing what I do. Might chain some scenarios to cap valor.

The Ghost of Azeroth Present will be sleeping off the hangover at my place.

Megan O'Neill (@slowpoker) Cracking into ICC10 soloing on my warlock while writing up my other solo adventures. I'm saving viewing The Hobbit for my family, since my dad originally got me into LotR before those movies came out. Bonus: The Ghost of Azeroth Present would likely take me to my own raid, but show me all the camaraderie I miss when I'm being grumpy.

Michael Gray (@writegray) Visiting family, writing, and working. Which really, is about everything I do.

Olivia Grace (@oliviadgrace) I'll be playing go to the Guild Master's birthday party in Sweden, with @ameurling! Maybe some WoW too :)

Robin Torres (@cosmiclaurel) Roleplaying a Forsaken mage, leveling my druid (who is made of stars), and Sunday I'll be at a craft fair with family and friends.

The Ghost of Azeroth Present is avoiding me because he knows I'll ask him about this year's Winter Veil gift and the accompanying achievement. I have an It came from the Blog event to plan.

The weekend is the perfect time to kick back, relax and enjoy some game time. Are you an achievement junkie? Can't get enough raiding? Rolling a new alt? Considering taking the leap into roleplaying? Whatever your favorite way to play World of Warcraft, let us know in the comments what you're playing this weekend!
