Zeno Clash 2 challenges PC players with two new modes

Zeno Clash 2 gets two Challenge modes on PC

Zeno Clash 2 has issued a free update today adding a pair of fresh challenge modes: Framerate and Coliseum.

Framerate mode pits players against waves of wireframe enemies who spawn based on your computer's performance and must be vanquished to maintain a consistent frame rate. Coliseum drops players into a battle against against 50 waves of increasingly difficult enemies, with no limits on the number of allies players can employ. In addition to the new modes, you'll notice Zeno Clash 2 also supports Steam Trading Cards now.

In what was most certainly an unplanned coincidence, all versions of Zeno Clash are on sale through Steam until August 1. You can grab the standard edition for $8 or the original game for $2.

Two New Challenge Modes, Trading Cards and a Sale Arrive for Zeno Clash II on Steam

IRVINE, Calif. - July 30, 2013 - Hot on the heels of the console launch of Zeno Clash II, the PC version will add two new challenge modes beginning on Tuesday, July 30, 2013. These new challenges will push players' skills - and computer specs - to the limit. Also, players will now have access to the Zeno Clash II collection of trading cards, which can unlock Steam profile features unique to the game. Finally, Zeno Clash II is part of this week's Midweek Madness Steam sale and the game can now be purchased for $7.99, but the special promotion ends soon. More details available at http://zenoclash2.com

Frame-rate Challenge Mode:
Sometimes the internet leaks into games and even Zeno Clash II can't escape. In this unique challenge, surreal wireframe enemies begin spawning with increasing frequency. The enemies still require skill to beat, but the waves are only limited by one thing: the PC's performance. Eking every last ounce of computational horsepower will be the key to surviving as long as possible in this highly unusual challenge.

Colosseum Challenge Mode:
This wave-based attack mode will push players to the limit. 50 waves of enemies will spawn, with increasing difficulty. True mastery of Zeno Clash II's first-person combat system of deadly combos will lead brawlers to victory, but there is some respite between rounds as players will have access to the store to buy weapons, power-ups, even allies. Unlike the game, there's no restriction on the number of allies either, so get ready for the most intense, all-out, battle royale in all of Zenozoik.

Trading Cards:
Zeno Clash II is the latest participant in Steam's new Trading Card system. Backgrounds, badges, chat items, and other Steam features unique to Zeno Clash II will be available to the dedicated players who unlock, bargain, trade and swap the Zeno Clash II cards to unlock badges and additional features for the game.

Zeno Clash II is on sale right now as part of the Midweek Madness Steam sale, and for a limited time is available for $7.99 --- 60 percent off its usual price.

About Zeno Clash II
The story of Zeno Clash II picks up a brief time after the first game ends. Golem, whose true intentions from the first story were never made clear, imprisoned Father-Mother after Ghat's final confrontation with him. But Father-Mother's still faithful children, Ghat and Rimat refuse to let that happen. As they plot to save Father-Mother's life, they end up on an adventure, which reveals far more about the world of Zenozoik than they were ever supposed to know.
