Stealthy murder is apparently big in the UK, as the Assassin's Creed games have combined to sell over 6.6 million units in the region.

"The Assassin's Creed franchise has already sold over 6.6 million units in the UK and over the past few years it has become a staple in gamers' diaries," said Ubisoft's UK brand manager Omebline Wallon, in an interview with MCV, before revealing why Ubisoft has chosen now to highlight its sales numbers. "Since we announced [Assassin's Creed IV Black Flag] in March, we have supported it at every beat of the campaign. We will be increasing our media presence as we near launch," added Wallon.

As Wallon mentioned, Ubisoft hopes to substantially increase that "6.6 million" sales figure with the release of Assassin's Creed IV Black Flag, though more importantly, the company hopes that the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 iterations of Black Flag will prove especially lucrative. "This year the anticipation is high, especially with the game coming on PS4 and Xbox One," noted Wallon.
