Zynga co-founder Justin Waldron strikes out on his own again
Zynga, formed in 2007, lost one of its eight co-founders today. In a post on Facebook, Justin Waldron says he'll once again pursue personal projects.
"It's incredibly humbling to have worked with such a talented team. I am grateful to have had the chance to help build a company that touched so many people," Waldron writes. "Thank you to everyone who has been a part of it- both in the trenches and for playing the games."
It's been a tumultuous few months for Zynga. The San Francisco-based mobile and casual games publisher closed several studios in June, then brought on former Microsoft executive Don Mattrick as new CEO. Mattrick's addition didn't quell the departures, as more executives left Zynga in July, followed by additional executive exits in August.
