The Queue Outland

Welcome back to The Queue, the daily Q&A column in which the WoW Insider team answers your questions about the World of Warcraft. Mike Sacco will be your host today.

I miss Outland. Maybe I'll get my warlock over that final 55-58 bump. I will, of course, immediately regret it. That place needs its own Cataclysm-style quest revamp bad.

dougie2471 asked:

Ive been playing Hearthstone quite a bit recently.. I know if i spend money on card packs i will get that back when its released.. My question is if i spend money entering arena will that also be given back?

Nope, Blizzard already did the refund-reset thing they were planning. What you do in beta now will carry over into live, barring another reset (which Blizzard "doesn't anticipate").

DanielHudson asked:

I have a question since I play Alliance pretty much exclusively. We see Trolls, Tauren, Blood Elves and even Goblins to some extent presented in the story arch of rebelling against Garrosh, is there any mention other than after defeating the Sha of Pride of Sylvanas' involvement or contributions? The Undead seem left out to me.

As far as I know, not really. Sylvanas was part of the operation to seize the Barrens from control of Garrosh's Horde, but she wasn't really featured in the Siege proper.

EDIT: Commenters have reminded me that she was an NPC in the Galakras fight.

fjared23 asked:

What ever happened to Koltira Deathweaver? Sorry if I'm just ignorant of it, but I can't recall his story ever being pressed further than being sent to the bottom of the Undercity so that he wouldn't be weak any more.

If anything with Sylvanas ever happens and she revolts because she's crazy as heck, you think maybe Koltira would be part of that, fighting for her after she breaks him into full-out submission?

There hasn't been any update to Koltira's story and I'd honestly be shocked if there was prior to the inevitable patch where we kill Sylvanas for purples. Which is a shame, because I really like Thassarian and Koltira.

GearJin asked:

I never noticed this before, but are insectoids just naturally prone to the Old Gods? How were they created? Are they original Azeroth inhabitants, or were they created?

Every Old God we've encountered has some (new) race of insects which worship. This obviously isn't a coincidence. Do you think Blizzard chose insects for their "gross" factor, or because of hive mentality?

The aqir, the race that splintered into the qiraji, nerubians, and mantid, were native to Azeroth, apparently not a titan creation. I like to think that their susceptibility to Old God whispers/commands is because of the hivelike nature of their civilizations. Or maybe they just know something we don't.

Koboi_K asked:

This is in no way whatsoever a question regarding the next expansion:

What do you think of that bizarre "Visions of Time" quest line? Why is it there and where does it lead us to?

They're planting the seeds for something, and I'm sure we'll see what in due time.
