Breakfast Topic: Have you ever been first?

What would it be like to be the very first to accomplish something in WoW, in the game, on your realm or even just in your guild? This deep into Mists of Pandaria, most of the exciting achievements have long since been snatched up, and it's a good bet that many of the players behind them are already plotting how to make a similar splash in Warlords of Draenor.

"Why? Mainly because I had never done it before and lots of people in my guild were getting really excited about Mists and all the hype..." said Dereveka, first to the MoP level cap on his realm, in an interview last year with WoW Insider. "It was hard not to get all wrapped up in the excitement! Besides, it was something I had always wanted to do and just wanted to see if I could do it. And I'll show a little bit of hubris here: It's always nice to see your name go across the screen in realm spam."

The thrill of the race, Derevka notes, is worth the pain along the way. "Would I do it again? Maybe..." he mused. "I had a real blast doing it with my guildmates, and it was a way for us to bond and prepare for raids. It was a different launch experience, but there is just a certain something about the rush and excitement of a race, isn't there?"

As most players drill down on tidying up character rosters and looking ahead to the expansion ahead, do you ever consider pushing for a game, realm or guild first? What do you think you'd enjoy working toward? Have you ever been first to the goal in a major game achievement?
