Terraria digging into US Vitas on Dec. 17, Dec. 11 in Europe

Now that Sony has approved Terraria's Vita version for release, 505 Games has crafted the port's early December launch window into specific dates. Terraria's procedurally-generated caverns and fields will load up on European Vitas on December 11, with the US release following on December 17.

Cross-play enthusiasts can get ready for the release by downloading the next update for Terraria on PS3. 505 Games announcement's encouragement to "keep an eye on the PlayStation Blog" suggests we'll be getting some meatier details soon.
